Less human than a dog?

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

I watched a movie from 2008: "Marley & Me" just a moment ago. This movie based on the memoir by John Grogan and about how a family learns important life lessons from their adorable, but naughty and neurotic dog named Marley.
I won't write about the story, there's a lot of website you can visit.. or better, watch the movie instead, this movie successfully made me laugh and then cry at the near end Laughing
I'm touched with the way Marley shows his love to John and his family, and the final monologue really touched me: "A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor... clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he'll give you his. How many people can you say that about?"
With all the conflicts in the world, suicide bombing, killing in the name of God. How can they say they are the highest creature of all God's creation? Are they so degrade and became less human than a dog?
God created all of us with heart, let us.. "Mend it, don't end it" just like John Grogan said.
There's a lot we can learn from movies.. or dogs Smile
